About Beach Confetti
The name Beach Confetti draws on the vivid and unique treasures that the waves scatter onto the shoreline, waiting to be found. Established in 2023, the company was founded on 2 basic principles: a love of shelling and a love of art. These two passions resulted in the delivery of vibrant coastal artwork that brings the beach right to your front door, no matter where you are in the world, or what time of year it is.
Every shell found in our art is ethically handpicked. This means carefully examining each find to make sure there are no living creatures inhabiting the shell. Any shells that are not used in the art are brought back to their home at the beach.
You’ll notice our artwork is not composed of just shells, sea glass, and beach pottery, but also other items that have washed up onto the shores. This includes marine rope, fishing bobbers & beads, ocean plastic, and more. Utilizing these materials not only makes for colorful artwork, but also helps to keep our beaches clean and free of materials hazardous to animals.
About the Artist
Kaitlin is the artist and founder of Beach Confetti. Born on the East Coast, she has always had an admiration for coastal living and decor. A love of beachcombing left her with bags of treasures of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Wanting to find a way to display her shells, Kaitlin experimented with different art compositions to showcase her finds, which led to the creation of Beach Confetti.
Unlike classic coastal decor, Kaitlin’s art tends to be a bit more eclectic, pulling in bright yellow, orange, and red tones into her work alongside the more traditional blues and creams that you might find elsewhere.
Kaitlin currently resides in Chicago, IL where she discovered one of Lake Michigan’s best features; its abundance of beach glass. She has found just about every color of the rainbow washed up onto the beaches here along with a range of beach pottery.
With family in Southeast Florida, she makes frequent trips in the winter months to spend time with family, escape the cold, and grow her shell collection.
Other favorite pastimes of Kaitlin’s include golfing, boating, spending time with family, traveling, thrifting, snowboarding, photography, reading, hiking, and creating content.
